  • almonds
  • 4.48 oz. (about ½ cup) sugar
  • 7 tablespoons flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 lb. raspberries or seasonal red fruits
  • 3.5 oz. (7 tablespoons) thick cream (creme fraiche)
  • 3.5 oz. (7 tablespoons) creme patissiere (vanilla flavored custard filling for pastries and cakes)
  • raspberry sauce
Preparation Instructions

Mix the almonds, sugar, flour, and eggs, creating a dough.

Spread this dough as thin as possible in a cake form. Bake it in a preheated oven for about 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix the creme patissiere with an equal amount of cream. Place the almond cake in the middle of a plate. Pour the cream on one side of the cake. Top with red fruits.

For decoration, add some mint leaves, raspberry sauce, and berries. You may serve the rest of the cream in a gravy bowl. In another bowl, serve the rest of the raspberry sauce.

What’s wrong with this site? The video isn’t loading properly. I really need the video to be loaded properly but still it failed me. Was it this site? Or just me? I’m totally pissed off right now..
I was horrible making this recipe. Provided with all information that is shown here (picture, video,, instructions etc..) I still didn’t manage to copy the exact recipe. Poor me. :(

It is necessary to use a hand to flatten the dough? He could use a tool right? Anyway, a tower style of preparing this is much appreciates than the other one I see. This is one great appetizing dessert.
Looks great and simple, but when I tried it, it was difficult. I don’t know why, I followed the instructions and the outcome was horrible. The cream was saggy and couldn’t stick with the pancake. Well I think I need more practice.

The video that I've watched is not the same with the picture that I've seen in the menu...How's that? There are so many fruits that you've showed but then in the video, only raspberry is being emphasized...Quite confusing recipe.

I don’t know what I’ve done wrong with this recipe but I made it exactly as mentioned then it turns out insipid. Yeah! It’s definitely sweet but there’s nothing extraordinary in this recipe. I thought there’s something missing in here.

the combination of the sweet berry sauce, fresh berries, and light almond cake was to die for. I love how the sweetness of the berries complemented the almond flavor. I hope that when I make a bigger batch, it will still turn out okay.

This dish is so healthy! It is very ideal to serve everyday. I just made this yesterday and my mother loved it. It smells good, too. It's simple and easy to prepare. You should try it.
This kind of recipe is so terrific! I can't believe it that this kind of French cuisine that I made resulted so PERFECTLY! This type of flat, round or free form crusty cakes are good to serve on St. Patrick's Day. I really love this recipe! Even my kids, whenever they eat these cakes, they deep it on chocolate maple syrup. Its not just the taste that is terrific but also it is so easy to prepare and cook.

This dish is phenomenal. It is the first time that I did with almonds and it was a knock out to my family. And the fact that we are all health conscious that we really enjoyed savoring it and the aroma is appetizing. I opted for the sweet one and topped it candied and dried fruits for the first batch and cream and nuts for the second and the last, I went to try meat and cheese. It is like having a sweet small pizza. Really remarkable for such an easy dish!

A recipe that will take you a little bit in heaven. The blending of almond and raspberries is ideal and not only that, I’ve learned that almonds help in the development of our brain, it’s suitable to a mother like me that is doing a lot of things.
