  • ½ cup chilled water
  • 150gms almonds soaked for 6-8 hours
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Milk (optional)

In a blender put all the ingredients and grind it for about 2-3 minutes.

Pour it into tall shake glasses and top it up with crunchy cereal and serve chilled.

You can also mix some skimmed milk to enhance the taste of almonds.

I like almond milk because it's a healthy alternative to cow's milk, and contains more vitamins and minerals than soy and rice milks. Because almonds are naturally very nutritious, almond milk doesn't need to be fortified. You can make almond milk yourself at home as shown in this recipe.
