Pie pastry

8 tablespoons brown sugar

12 oz. pure maple syrup

1 cup milk

4 tablespoons butter

3 eggs, separated


Preparation Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, beat together the brown sugar, syrup, milk, butter, and egg yolks.

In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff. Fold the whites into the syrup mixture.

Line a pie plate with pastry and pour the syrup mixture inside. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until set.
