Ingredients
3 bananas, pealed
10 1/2 tablespoons flour
1½ teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 medium egg, well beaten
2 tablespoon butter
To this slowly add the milk, lemon juice and egg; mix well.
Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
Add a spoonful of the milk mixture to the frying pan and cook until golden brown on both sides.
Drain on paper and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Banana fritters can be served with evening tea or coffee and are a filling snack. If you prefer, bake the fritters instead of frying them.
