¾ cup raisins
6 baking apples (cored)
2 tablespoons butter (melted)
¼ cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons chopped walnuts
½ cup + water
Pour the raisins into a bowl and cover with water. Let them sit and plump for 15 to 25 minutes.
Drain the raisins. In a bowl, blend together the butter and brown sugar. Add the raisins and walnuts. Spoon this mixture into each apple core.
Place the apples in the crock pot, stem side up. Add ½ cup of water.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
