Cooking Time

Recommended Wine
Muscadet sur lie
Ingredients
1 ray, parsley (minced), lemon, 1 shallot (chopped), chanterelle mushrooms, Melfort vinegar (an Alsatian specialty), fowl stock, sea salt, pepper, butter
Preparation Instructions
Wash the chanterelle mushrooms. Melt some butter in a pan. Add the chopped shallots and brown them for about 10 seconds. Salt and lightly pepper the chanterelles and add them to the pan. Once the whole is gently roasted, add a little water and let the chanterelles cook for 2 minutes. Drain and reduce the gravy. Meanwhile, place the chanterelles in the frying pan again and let them sear until they are crispy. Drain well and place back on the stove. In the meantime, reduce the gravy from the chanterelle cooking. Place the ray fillet in the pan with molten butter and cook slowly. The ray must be golden and should shrink only a little bit. Add the parsley to the chanterelles. Remove the pan from the stove; the parsley should keep its natural green color. Once the ray is cooked, add a spoon of vinegar and honey. Sprinkle the ray with the vinegar. Reduce on low heat for about 30 seconds. During this time, scatter the chanterelles along the side of the serving dish. Place the ray and the vinegar in the center of the dish and pour the chanterelle-gravy around them.

Fried Ray with Chanterelle Mushrooms

Simple and flavor some recipe which you would love to cook and serve your friends and family members. In this video Chef Antoine Westermann demonstrates how to make Fried Ray in mushroom curry with easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions. He shows you what ingredients you'll need for the recipe including Parsley, Melfort vinegar, lemon, pepper, and other spices.

Ray fish originally belongs to the continental cuisine; today it's a part of the global taste and is an important part of a high omega-3 diet. One of the tastiest wild mushrooms in the world, the chanterelle mushroom grows commonly in northern parts of Europe and North America and Mexico. They also grow in the Himalayas and Africa. While the chanterelle is edible, many mushrooms are extremely dangerous to humans, so be careful if you're picking your own. http://www.ask.com/questions-about/Chanterelle-Mushrooms. Fried ray with mushroom isn’t that compatible? I think the mushroom will only give salty and bitter taste on the fish. However better try it and make one.

So this i show it looks. I like the pouring of the sauce on top of the dish. But why is it that when they preparing the food it was appetizing but when the presentation comes. The sense for appetizing is gone. Well, i better do this on my own. However, this is one great recipe.

I don’t usually eat any mushroom dish and I hate them, but when I tasted this dish my hate for eating it changed. Well, this recipe did some twist to make me eat it. I really hated vegetables but now I don’t because of this recipe. And the gravy boost well with the mushroom!

I made this recipe very easily; I just marinated the ray fish. Left it overnight at the fridge to make it tastier then I cooked it early in the morning. My family, what they enjoyed most is the great combination of the chanterelle mushrooms; it really tastes so good!

No it is not, I was about to do this and follow the instructions accordingly but then I noticed that the ingredients are not that good to be meshed anyway. It looks very disconcerting.

Fried ray fish... I think this kind of fish is not good for cooking or not good in using for a cuisine. Ray fish is an exotic aquatic animal, it needs to be protected for, now, it is already endangered. I won't recommend this kind of recipe.

I wonder when the font of this site will grow larger. I can’t see it clearly! Plus it’s annoying to see the wide space below the recipe, why compress the instructions? There are no numbers at least so it would be easier to read.

I made this recipe by chance for I have all the ingredients in my little kitchen. It was easy to make and very flavorful mushroom recipe that everybody loved its taste. All the ingredients here blend well with, doesn’t need to change anything for this recipe, just followed everything here to experience its fantastic flavor!

This may seem expensive, but it’s every penny worth it. I’ve tried it for my sister’s celebration party and they were all shocked that I know of a very differently flavorful recipe. Of course, I was flattered, so now, I’m trying to master this and thinking of making variations. But surely, I’ll keep this to my personal recipe collection.

This stuff is fulfilling. Ravishing flavors from a very usual thing. We’ve been eating this for supper for three consecutive nights and they seem to not have got enough of it yet. My compliments to the chef.

I would say ray recipes are rare! This recipe for me is hard, the reason that ray meat are hard to find in the market. I mean not all markets sell ray fish. Preferably this will be a great dish, but the resources are sometimes not that available is some states or countries. If you would have an alternative for ray fish, it will be nice and worth trying.

This recipe looks fantastic! Although ray meat is hard to find in some places, I think milk fish is a great alternative of it, don’t you think? I will try this one out, thanks for this recipe!

I like this. It's looks simple and it's presented nicely. I'll try to surprise my mushroom lover baby girl tomorrow with this as her breakfast. She's been requesting for quite a while now but I've been busy. Since this doesn't require much effort and other things, it's what I perfectly need most especially because it only has ray and mushroom as its main ingredient.
